In a major development regarding the Boat Basin case involving the facilitation of notorious drug dealer Anmol, alias Pinky, the police have formally declared the arrest of a female suspect. Following this breakthrough, the suspects, identified as Aaqib and Ghulam Mustafa, were presented before the Judicial Magistrate South court. Upon hearing the arguments, the court remanded both individuals into judicial custody in connection with the cases registered at the Garden and Boat Basin police stations.
This follows a previous directive issued by the Judicial Magistrate South on June 20, which ordered the law enforcement agencies to submit the final investigation report (Chalan) for the two cases against Anmol after Ashura, as the Garden Police had failed to present it during the recent hearing. Furthermore, the court has reserved its judgment on separate petitions filed by the defense regarding the removal of co-accused names from the drug case and the evaluation of Call Data Records (CDRs).
