Karachi: Police Arrest Drug Dealer Selling Narcotics Online to Students

KARACHI – In a major crackdown against the rising trend of drug abuse in educational institutions, the Shah Latif Town Police have arrested a key suspect involved in selling narcotics to students via online platforms. The suspect, identified as Ahmed Ali (alias Zeeshan), was apprehended during a targeted raid in Sector 17-B, Malir.

Significant Seizure of High-End Drugs

According to a spokesperson for the District Malir Police, officials recovered a massive cache of “party drugs” and other narcotics valued at over Rs. 10 million in the open market. The seized items include more than 750 Ecstasy/Dancing Pills, 250 grams of Weed (Cannabis), and 200 grams of Ice (Crystal Meth).

Modus Operandi: Hidden in Computer Parts

During the initial investigation, the suspect made startling revelations regarding his operations. He disclosed that he used a sophisticated smuggling method, transporting drugs from Balochistan to Karachi by concealing them inside hidden compartments of computer hardware and electronic parts to evade security checks.

Targeting Educational Institutions

The suspect confessed that his primary clientele consisted of young men and women, specifically students from various schools, colleges, and universities across Karachi. He utilized social media and online channels to coordinate sales and distribute these harmful substances to the youth.

A case has been formally registered against the accused. He has been handed over to the Investigation Wing for further interrogation to uncover his broader network of buyers and facilitators within the city.
