KARACHI: In a targeted operation amid the ongoing crackdown against illegal immigrants, Shrafi Goth Police successfully raided a cardboard scrap warehouse in Ismail Goth, Karachi, based on a credible intelligence tip-off. The raid resulted in the apprehension of ten undocumented Afghan nationals who were residing in the country without any valid legal documentation. The detainees have been identified as Owais, Abdul Rehman, Ismail, Shamsuddin, Ehsanullah, Habibullah, Sher Khan, Asim, Attaullah, and Muhammad Khan. According to a District Malir Police spokesperson, a formal case has been registered against all ten individuals under the Foreigners Act.
Alongside the immigrants, the police also arrested the warehouse owner, identified as Akhtar, for providing illegal accommodation without any verification or legal credentials. Authorities have registered a separate case against him under the Temporary Residents Act for hosting undocumented individuals.
