KARACHI: On the directives of Commissioner Karachi Syed Hassan Naqvi, a massive anti-encroachment operation was successfully executed on both sides of the Lyari Expressway in the Keamari Division. This joint action, led by the Assistant Commissioner Keamari, Mukhtiarkar, Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) teams, and local police, utilized heavy machinery to dismantle all illegal constructions, temporary setups, and unauthorized parking zones along the highway. The primary objective of clearing the area was to restore smooth traffic flow and provide maximum convenience to daily commuters. Highlighting the administration’s stance, the Commissioner firmly stated that illegal occupation of state land will not be tolerated, warning that indiscriminate operations against the land mafia will continue and re-encroachers will face strict legal consequences. He further emphasized that this operation is a crucial part of an ongoing city-wide campaign to reclaim public spaces, while directing relevant officers to maintain continuous surveillance to prevent any future violations.
