KARACHI: Deputy Mayor Karachi, Salman Abdullah Murad, officially inaugurated the cattle market established for sacrificial animals at Northern Bypass. Upon his arrival, he was warmly welcomed by the Market Administrator, Tariq Tanoli.

Addressing the ceremony, Deputy Mayor Salman Abdullah Murad assured the management of the city government’s full cooperation, echoing the support provided in previous years. He stated that the citizens of Karachi consistently choose the people-friendly Northern Bypass cattle market for their Eid-ul-Adha purchases, and ensuring foolproof security measures remains the top priority. He further emphasized that Eid-ul-Adha teaches the essence of brotherhood and serving humanity.
Enhanced Facilities for 2026
Market Administrator Tariq Tanoli highlighted that this year’s arrangements surpass previous years in terms of quality and convenience. Over the past four days, high-quality breeds such as Brahman, Cholistani, Sahiwal, Salagar, and Ablak have already arrived at the market. A dedicated medical screening process for animals is active at the entry gates, and for the first time, traders have been provided with the facility to bring fodder along with their livestock.
A Festive Opening
The inauguration began with a Quran Khani at the Administration Block, followed by special prayers for the country’s prosperity. The venue was beautifully decorated to mark the occasion. Despite it being the opening phase, a large number of citizens visited the market with their families to enjoy the Sunday outing. The event concluded with a vibrant fireworks display, marking the official start of the festive season.
