KARACHI: In a targeted crackdown against illegal activities, Karachi South Zone police conducted two separate raids on shisha cafes and dance parties, arresting six individuals, including a woman.
According to a South Zone police spokesperson, the operations were carried out following the directives of DIG South Asad Raza, who has ordered a strict clampdown on illegal shisha cafes, guest houses, dance parties, and other unlawful activities within the zone.
The Raids and Seizures
The raids were conducted within the jurisdictions of the Boat Basin and Sahil police stations. Police acted on credible intelligence reports indicating that drugs and contraband were being used during two ongoing parties in these areas. During the operations, police seized a large number of shisha hookahs, various flavors, and other related paraphernalia.
Legal Action
The spokesperson confirmed that all six suspects—including one female—have been taken into custody. Cases have been registered against the accused under relevant legal provisions, and further investigation is currently underway.
