The Sindh Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, has officially approved the provincial budget for the upcoming fiscal year 2026-27. The high-level budget session was attended by provincial ministers, special assistants, advisors, the Chief Secretary, and departmental secretaries.
During the meeting, the cabinet highly commended the Chief Minister’s leadership for executing a record number of development projects during the outgoing fiscal year (2025-26).
Reaffirming the government’s commitment, CM Murad Ali Shah stated that under the guidance of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leadership, the journey of public service will continue with enhanced welfare initiatives for the people of Sindh. He emphasized that the FY 2026-27 budget is inclusive, keeping the interests of all segments of society at the forefront. Notably, following directives from PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the new budget incorporates targeted poverty alleviation programs and key legislative decisions regarding minimum wage relief for the labor class.
