KARACHI: An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Karachi has formally indicted two primary suspects, Armaghan and Shiraz, in the high-profile murder case of Mustafa Amir.
During the hearing held at the Karachi Central Jail ATC complex, the court read out the charges to the accused. Both Armaghan and Shiraz pleaded not guilty to the charges. Consequently, the court issued notices to the prosecution’s witnesses, summoning them to record their statements on March 12.
Case Background Mustafa Amir was kidnapped from Karachi last year and subsequently murdered. According to investigative authorities, the perpetrators attempted to eliminate all evidence by transporting the body to a remote area in Balochistan, where it was set on fire.
Investigation and Arrest The Darakhshan Police traced the suspects through a rigorous investigation, leading to the arrest of Armaghan and Shiraz. Significant evidence was recovered from their possession during the initial raids. The court has now adjourned the proceedings until March 12, when the trial will move into the witness testimony phase.
