KARACHI: The opposition alliance, Tehreek-e-Tahaffuz-e-Aein-e-Pakistan (TTAP), has officially launched its three-day visit to Sindh to mobilize support for its upcoming nationwide protest movement.
High-Level Leadership Delegation
According to a statement issued by the movement, a high-level delegation led by Mahmood Khan Achakzai has departed for Sindh. The delegation includes prominent political figures such as former National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser and Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) chief Allama Raja Nasir Abbas.
Mobilizing for February 8 Protests
The primary objective of this visit is to finalize preparations and garner public support for the alliance’s nationwide protest scheduled for February 8. The leadership is expected to tour various districts of rural Sindh in addition to major activities in Karachi.
Key Engagements and Public Meetings
The visit includes a packed schedule aimed at connecting with different segments of society:
- Public Rally: Opposition leaders will address a large public gathering organized by the Sindh United Party (SUP).
- Legal Fraternity: A keynote address is scheduled at the Karachi Bar Association, where the leadership will discuss constitutional supremacy and the rule of law.
- Consultations: The delegation will hold meetings with various political, social, and professional circles to discuss the prevailing political situation.
- Media Outreach: Direct interactions with the public and media briefings are also part of the three-day itinerary.
The alliance maintains that its movement is focused on the protection of the Constitution and ensuring democratic stability in the country.
