Years after the 2019 death of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, attention has turned to his longtime girlfriend, Karyna Shuliak, who is emerging as a primary potential beneficiary of his remaining multi-million dollar fortune. Court documents reveal that just two days before his death in a federal prison, Epstein signed a new will establishing the “1953 Trust,” naming Shuliak as a central figure associated with it. According to U.S. Department of Justice records, Shuliak was the last person Epstein spoke to outside of prison, receiving some of his final phone calls while he was in custody. At the time of his death, Epstein’s estate was valued at roughly $600 million. After paying out over $170 million in restitution to more than 200 victims and settling various legal claims, the remaining assets are currently estimated between $120 and $150 million following a recent tax refund. Although Shuliak stands to inherit the remainder of the fortune, payouts from the trust have been frozen pending ongoing legal proceedings. The estate’s executor, Richard Kahn, noted that the trust agreement was ambiguously drafted, leaving Epstein’s precise distribution intentions unclear until all legal disputes are resolved.
