KARACHI: The newly appointed management of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has rolled out a comprehensive organizational restructuring following its formal takeover, redefining departmental roles, responsibilities, and reporting lines to streamline operational efficiency. Under this updated framework, notable changes include the creation of the Chief Airworthiness position and the transition of the Chief Technical Officer role into the Chief of Maintenance. Additionally, the CEO now maintains direct oversight of several key units, including Corporate Communication & Brand, Special Assistants for Technical and Compliance, GM Safety, and GM Government Affairs, while structured reporting lines have been firmly established across all major operational verticals such as Flight Operations, Commercial, Finance, Human Resources, Supply Chain, and Information Technology.
