Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has reportedly denied wicket-keeper batsman Mohammad Rizwan permission to address the media. According to sources, Rizwan approached the board twice seeking clearance to hold a press conference, but both requests were rejected. His intention was to bring the entire controversy into the public eye, including the details surrounding the confiscation of his mobile phone after the Lord’s Test, the specifics of the allegations leveled against him, and the contents of the letter he recently wrote to the International Cricket Council (ICC). He wanted to leverage Clause 16 of his central contract—which emphasizes mutual cooperation between the player and the board—while respecting Clause 4.1, which prohibits players from making unauthorized public statements.
