KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has officially inaugurated 49 modern digital classrooms, 20 satellite schools, and a sign language teacher training program across the province to revolutionize special education. Emphasizing that providing quality education to every child remains a firm commitment, the Chief Minister noted that these new digital classrooms are fully equipped with smart boards, e-learning tools, and advanced educational facilities designed to help special children thrive confidently in a digital world. Highlighting that true progress depends on the people using the technology rather than just the infrastructure itself, he also introduced a specialized Sign Language Teachers Training Program launched in collaboration with Deaf Reach and FESF to enhance professional competencies among educators. Currently, approximately 20,000 students are enrolled across 67 special institutions in Sindh, where they receive free education, rehabilitation, physiotherapy, speech therapy, transport, and nutritious meals, alongside a monthly stipend of PKR 3,000.
