The deadline to implement the mandatory NADRA-linked digital vaccination certificate for Pakistani Umrah pilgrims, work visa holders, and long-term travelers to Saudi Arabia has been extended to September 25, 2026, at 10:00 AM. This extension follows operational concerns raised by the Pakistan Airports Authority regarding potential passenger congestion and strain on airport dispensaries due to an immediate rollout, as the PAA had initially recommended postponing implementation until October 1 to allow for inter-agency coordination and adequate preparation. Under the updated policy, travelers heading to Saudi Arabia for Umrah, work, or stays exceeding six months must receive vaccinations for influenza, meningitis, and polio. Border Health Services Pakistan is launching this digital verification system initially at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport, with plans for a phased expansion to other points of entry. Travelers can conveniently complete biometric verification, registration, and fee payments through the Pak ID App, or utilize NADRA e-Sahulat franchises for offline payments. The Karachi Airport Vaccination Center operates daily from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, and passengers are strongly advised to complete their required vaccinations at least 10 days prior to departure.
