KARACHI: The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has successfully retrieved six months of cryptocurrency and financial transaction data belonging to Mir Raza, a young Karachi businessman whose tragic murder is currently under intensive investigation. Police and investigative committees requested this technical data to trace daily transaction volumes, fund origins, and destination accounts linked to platforms like Binance. This information has also been submitted to the judicial commission.
Key testimony from the victim’s business partner, Ahmed Bhardey, revealed that Mir Raza was involved in cryptocurrency trading ranging between 2 million and 3 million rupees and had recently suffered market losses. Investigators are closely examining whether these financial setbacks, business disputes, or communications with an individual named Mujtaba during his final days played a direct role in his abduction and homicide. Once the NCCIA completes its technical analysis, the final report is expected to shed crucial light on the motives behind the incident.
