KARACHI: The investigation team has submitted the challan (charge sheet) for the Gul Plaza fire incident in the court of the Judicial Magistrate South, naming Tanveer Pasta as the prime suspect. During the hearing, where Tanveer Pasta and other co-accused made an appearance, Investigating Officer DSP Amir Wark formally presented the report.
According to the submitted challan, suspects Tanveer Pasta, Ramzan, Naimatullah, and Ammar Ismail are currently out on bail, while another suspect, Amin, has been declared a fugitive (proclaimed offender). The document also notes that 72 lives were lost in the tragic Gul Plaza disaster. Furthermore, a list of 85 witnesses has been attached to the case.
Regarding the 11-year-old Huzaifa, his name was excluded from the main suspect list, and a separate challan has been submitted against him under juvenile proceedings. The court has adjourned the hearing until September 9.
