KARACHI: Pakistan Navy has officially commenced its major biennial military exercise, Sea Spark 2026, in Karachi, bringing together all three branches of the armed forces to test combat readiness against contemporary maritime threats.
The opening briefing was presided over by the Naval Chief and attended by high-ranking military officials. According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the exercise features comprehensive participation from Pakistan Navy surface ships, submarines, aircraft, Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), Marines, and Special Services Group (SSG) commandos, alongside active joint participation from the Pakistan Army and Pakistan Air Force to ensure seamless inter-service integration.
A key focus of Sea Spark 2026 is executing complex multi-domain operations that synergize maritime, land, air, cyber, and space capabilities. Furthermore, the exercise integrates modern information warfare operations to secure a decisive edge in the evolving security landscape. During his visit to Pakistan Navy Fleet units, the Naval Chief emphasized maintaining exceptional combat readiness and operational agility to address emerging conventional and asymmetric threats effectively.
