KARACHI: Hamdard Hospital in Karachi has decided to take legal action against the family of a woman who underwent a maternity-related surgical procedure based on what the administration claims were fake reports. According to Hospital Spokesperson Mansoor, subsequent medical examinations conclusively proved that the woman was not pregnant. The administration intends to pursue legal measures specifically due to the vandalism caused by the family at the medical facility.
Meanwhile, the Sindh Healthcare Commission has stepped in to investigate the circumstances surrounding the procedure performed despite the patient not being pregnant. The commission’s official findings will address the medical discrepancies raised during the case and determine whether any disciplinary or professional action is required against the attending physicians.
