KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah inaugurated a series of state-of-the-art facilities at the Sindh Institute of Animal Health (SIAH) in Korangi, completed with an investment of PKR 631.798 million under the provincial Annual Development Programme. The newly launched infrastructure includes a modern pet hospital, diagnostic bays, academic and administrative blocks, upgraded laboratories, post-mortem facilities, and a dedicated fleet of motorcycles for field veterinary services.
Addressing the inauguration ceremony, the Chief Minister underscored that livestock serves as a foundational pillar of Sindh’s economy, supporting millions of rural households by providing a vital source of income and financial resilience. During his visit, he toured the pet hospital’s advanced operational infrastructure, including surgical theaters, wards, recovery units, and intensive care facilities, marking a transformative step forward for veterinary healthcare, scientific research, and disease surveillance across the province.
