KARACHI: The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) recently inaugurated a state-of-the-art e-marking laboratory during a dignified ceremony celebrating Pakistan’s 79th Independence Day. The event was graced by Sindh Minister for Universities and Boards, Muhammad Ismail Rahoo, as the chief guest, who hoisted the national flag and officially opened the new facility. Distinguished attendees included Dawood University of Engineering and Technology Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Samreen Hussain, Sindh Board of Technical Education and BIEK Chairman Prof. Musharraf Ali Rajput, and Deputy Commissioner District Central Taha Saleem. During the visit, the minister received a comprehensive briefing on the digital marking system, modern technology integration, and automation processes designed to enhance transparency and efficiency in examinations. In his address, Minister Rahoo paid tribute to the Pakistan Armed Forces for their supreme sacrifices in defending the country and combating terrorism, affirming the nation’s unwavering support, while also emphasizing the broader initiative to modernize and digitize educational boards across Sindh.
