KARACHI: Major developments have emerged in the murder case of young Mir Raza in Karachi, where investigative authorities have compiled a list of ten individuals who provided loans to the victim and decided to summon them for interrogation. According to investigative sources, Mir Raza allegedly owed over fifty million rupees in total across these ten creditors. Express News has obtained specific details regarding the loans, revealing that the victim owed over seventeen point five million rupees to an individual named Abid, while another person named Mony had lent five hundred thousand rupees.
The case dates back to July 29, 2026, when the victim’s body was found in Gulistan-e-Jauhar, and an initial attempt was made to portray the murder as a suicide. Following intense public protests and suspicions raised by the police surgeon, an eight-member board exhumed the grave on August 8 to prepare a detailed report on the causes of death. In light of the new medical report, the government replaced the previous investigative team, appointing Amir Farooqi to head a newly formed committee, with two additional members included upon the requests of the victim’s parents and lawyer.
