KARACHI: The father of the late young businessman Mir Raza, Mir Hussain, has officially rejected the Sindh government’s proposal to form a judicial commission regarding his son’s murder case. Instead, the family has expressed complete confidence in the newly formed investigative committee, specifically praising DIG Aamir Farooqi’s reputable standing and expecting a breakthrough within the next four to five days.
During a media talk, Mir Hussain raised serious concerns regarding the ongoing investigation, highlighting that his son’s business partner has been missing for the tenth consecutive day with only a single police interrogation conducted. Furthermore, he criticized the lack of transparency surrounding the interrogation of Gulistan-e-Jauhar guest house employees and the withheld CCTV footage. Echoing these sentiments, family counsel Jibran Nasir clarified on X (formerly Twitter) that the family never requested a judicial commission and urged the Sindh government to avoid creating confusion or administrative hurdles while the new investigative team proceeds.
