The Pakistan Meteorological Department’s (PMD) Early Warning Center has announced the formal entry of monsoon winds into the country, signaling a significant shift in weather patterns across Sindh. For Karachi, the next 48 hours are projected to remain partly cloudy and highly humid, with intermittent gusty winds and a strong likelihood of light drizzling during the night and early morning hours. This transitional weather is expected to culminate in light rainfall across the metropolis on Friday, July 3rd. Meanwhile, the city’s temperature remains warm, having recorded a minimum of 29°C today, with the maximum temperature expected to fluctuate between 33°C and 35°C.
In contrast to the coastal metropolis, the interior and rural districts of Sindh are expected to experience predominantly hot and dry weather over the next two days. However, this intense heat is likely to be broken by sudden weather developments, as the PMD has issued warnings for severe dust storms, thunder, and heavy rainfall in several key districts, including Ghotki, Sukkur, Larkana, Qambar Shahdadkot, Jacobabad, and Naushahro Feroze. Residents and local authorities across the province are advised to stay vigilant and prepared for these sudden meteorological shifts.
