Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar announced that 22 Iranian crew members from the recently seized vessel, Leonor Davina, have safely arrived in Karachi, with formal arrangements now underway to ensure their swift and secure repatriation to Iran. This successful operation was made possible through Pakistan’s continuous diplomatic coordination with both US and Iranian authorities throughout the process. Currently, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is working in close collaboration with Iranian diplomatic missions in Pakistan to finalize the logistics for their return.
This transit marks the fourth group of Iranian crew members facilitated by Pakistan over the last two months, bringing the total number of safely repatriated Iranian nationals through Pakistani soil to over 70. Expressing his gratitude, Deputy PM Ishaq Dar thanked the Iranian leadership for placing their trust in Pakistan and highly commended the professional efforts of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and all relevant state institutions in ensuring the smooth and safe execution of this humanitarian mission.
