In a major breakthrough against organized crime, the Special Investigation Unit (SIU) of the Karachi CIA conducted a targeted operation within the jurisdiction of the Soldier Bazar Police Station. This successful raid led to the arrest of a notorious online drug trafficker, identified as Abdul Waseem, son of Hayan Shah, who was also a wanted fugitive in a high-profile homicide case. During the arrest, law enforcement officials recovered 150 grams of Ice (Methamphetamine) from his possession, prompting immediate legal action and the registration of a fresh case against him at the SIU Police Station.
Initial investigations reveal that Abdul Waseem is a habitual offender deeply involved in the digital distribution of narcotics. He reportedly procured his drug supply from a notorious kingpin named Murad Shah, also known as Baba Wilayat, to operate his online smuggling network. Beyond his narcotics operations, the suspect was evading law enforcement for his involvement in a 2025 murder case, registered under FIR No. 770/2025 (Section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code) at the Shah Latif Town Police Station, which stemmed from a violent land dispute. A comprehensive investigation is currently underway to fully dismantle his digital narcotics network and apprehend all connected facilitators.
