KARACHI: In a proactive move to address public grievances, the Director General of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Karachi hosted an “Open Court” (Khuli Kachehri) at the NAB office, drawing a large number of citizens seeking justice against corruption and fraud. The session primarily focused on victims of illegal housing schemes, who presented documented evidence of being defrauded of their life savings. Apart from real estate scams, citizens also submitted complaints regarding general corruption and malpractice in various departments.
During the session, DG NAB Karachi, accompanied by senior officials, personally listened to the complainants to understand the depth of systemic fraud. Recognizing the urgency, the DG issued immediate directives to relevant officers to initiate inquiries and ensure the speedy redressal of public issues on the spot.
The DG emphasized that NAB is committed to a policy of zero tolerance against corrupt elements who deceive the masses under the guise of investment. He further instructed his team to ensure that every complaint is followed up with effective and time-bound action, providing a glimmer of hope to hundreds of families affected by the real estate mafia in the city.
