KARACHI: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) conducted a targeted raid on an unauthorized travel agency operating on Sharea Faisal, resulting in the arrest of the primary suspect involved in visa fraud.
Details of the Operation
Acting on a tip-off, FIA officials raided the premises of “Shaheen Holidays Travels & Tours.” During the operation, the agency apprehended the owner, identified as Muhammad Hamza, who was found to be operating the business without a valid license.
Recovered Items
Authorities seized a significant amount of evidence from the site, including passports of several individuals, company stamps, checkbooks, computer systems, mobile phones, and other incriminating documents related to visa processing.
Modus Operandi
According to the FIA, the suspect confessed during initial interrogation to running the illegal setup for several months. He allegedly collected passports and hefty fees from citizens under the guise of providing visas for the USA, Malaysia, and Thailand.
Legal Action
A case (FIR No. 150/2026) has been registered against the accused. The FIA stated that further investigation is underway to identify any accomplices and that the crackdown on illegal travel agencies and visa fraud will continue across the city.
