KARACHI: In a significant milestone for the country’s tech sector, Pakistan has secured the 16th position out of 193 nations in the 2026 Ataraxis Global Outsourcing Talent Index. Minister of State for IT and Telecommunication, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, announced the achievement, highlighting that Pakistan now ranks within the top 9% of countries globally for outsourcing talent.
Key Highlights from the Index: Surpassing Global Giants: Pakistan has outperformed several major economies, including China (37th), Vietnam (32th), and the UK (29th). It also ranks significantly higher than Western European nations like Spain (49th), France (73rd), and Germany (84th). Exceptional Talent Score: With a talent score of 80 out of 100, Pakistan holds the 8th position globally on this specific metric. Regional Dominance: The index places Pakistan ahead of all Middle Eastern and African nations, as well as every European Union member state included in the rankings.
A Thriving Ecosystem Minister Shaza Fatima noted that Pakistan’s tech sector is expanding at an average annual growth rate of 20%.
“This ranking is a clear testament to the immense potential and resilience of our technology ecosystem,” the Minister stated, adding that the country continues to solidify its reputation as a premier destination for global outsourcing.
The rise in rankings is expected to boost investor confidence and attract more international firms to leverage Pakistan’s growing pool of skilled IT professionals.
