KARACHI: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Corporate Crime Circle has intensified its crackdown on intellectual property theft, arresting a suspect allegedly involved in large-scale copyright violations.
The Operation
The action was initiated following a formal complaint lodged by M/S Blue Tech Electric Private Limited. Acting on the tip-off, the FIA team conducted a targeted raid and apprehended the suspect, identified as Tanzeem Taj, who is reportedly the owner of a private firm.
Evidence Recovered
According to an FIA spokesperson, the team recovered a significant quantity of materials during the raid that were produced in direct violation of copyright laws. The seized items are being treated as key evidence in the ongoing investigation.
Legal Proceedings
The FIA confirmed that a case has been registered under the relevant sections of the Copyright Act and further investigations are currently underway to uncover the full extent of the network. The agency is also actively working to arrest other accomplices linked to this operation. The FIA reiterated its commitment to protecting intellectual property rights and warned of strict action against any elements involved in such illegal activities.
