KARACHI: The University of Karachi (KU) has issued a new academic schedule, announcing the resumption of physical (on-campus) classes for two days a week starting from April 1st. According to Professor Dr. Imran Ahmed Siddiqui, Registrar of the University of Karachi, the campus will transition to a hybrid learning model to balance physical and digital education.
The New Academic Schedule
On-campus physical classes will be held every Monday and Thursday, while for the remainder of the week, classes will continue to be conducted online. The morning shift classes will run from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, whereas the evening shift will take place from 3:30 PM to 9:00 PM.
Staff Attendance and Higher Education
The Registrar has directed all teaching and non-teaching staff to ensure their presence on campus during these days. Regarding advanced degrees, Dr. Siddiqui noted that M.Phil and Ph.D. classes may be conducted during weekends, depending on the discretion of the respective departments.
Transport Facilities
To facilitate students, the University of Karachi has confirmed that its point bus service will be fully operational on Mondays and Thursdays to cover the commute for those attending on-campus sessions.
