KARACHI: The Karachi Police has announced an extension in the deadline for motorists to install government-approved standardized number plates on their vehicles.
According to a spokesperson for the Karachi Police, citizens now have until April 1st to ensure their vehicles are equipped with official plates. Following this deadline, a city-wide crackdown will be launched against the use of private or non-standard plates, fancy or decorative lettering, and any unauthorized or illegal number plates.
Action Against Unlicensed Drivers In addition to the campaign against illegal plates, the spokesperson emphasized that the police will also take strict legal action against individuals operating vehicles without a valid driving license. Citizens are advised to complete their documentation and upgrade their number plates immediately to avoid fines or vehicle impoundment starting next month.
