KARACHI: A Riyadh-bound private airline flight made an emergency landing at Jinnah International Airport following a technical malfunction mid-air. All 160 passengers on board remained unharmed.
The Incident
AirSial flight PF-768, which departed from Islamabad for Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, encountered a technical fault shortly after entering the airspace over the Arabian Sea. Recognizing the potential risk, the captain immediately contacted Air Traffic Control (ATC) to request an emergency landing in Karachi.
Safe Landing
Thanks to the pilot’s quick thinking and professional expertise, the aircraft landed safely at Karachi Airport. Emergency protocols were activated on the ground, but the landing was executed without further complications.
Current Status of Passengers
According to AirSial management, all 160 passengers have been shifted to the transit lounge while the airline is currently arranging an alternative aircraft to ensure they reach Riyadh. Meanwhile, technical teams are inspecting the grounded plane to determine the exact nature of the fault.
