KARACHI: The Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Karachi stated that while the United States pretends to seek negotiations through friendly nations, it is simultaneously deploying naval fleets to the region to escalate aggression. Speaking to media representatives at the Iranian Consulate, the Consul General emphasized that Iran possesses the legal and diplomatic right to defend its sovereignty.
Allegations of International Law Violations
The Consul General condemned the unilateral actions of the US and Israel, asserting that they have disregarded international laws by launching attacks on Iran. He revealed that these acts of aggression have resulted in the deaths of 168 innocent children. “This is the second time Iran has been subjected to a surprise night attack,” he remarked, adding that Iran reserves the right to target US and Israeli assets wherever they exist until their objectives are met.
Critique of Global Silence and Media Propaganda
The envoy expressed disappointment over the silence of the United Nations (UNO) and the lack of a unified response from Muslim nations. He accused the US and Israel of controlling the media narrative, specifically citing negative propaganda aimed at demoralizing the Iranian people. Despite claims of Iran being “weakened,” the Consul General maintained that public morale remains high and daily life continues as normal. He stressed that the enemy’s conspiracy is to divide the Muslim Ummah and urged Islamic countries to demonstrate solidarity.
Appreciation for Pakistan
The Consul General lauded Pakistan’s stance, expressing gratitude for the government’s condemnation of the aggression and the public’s support. He thanked the scholars and various sectors of Pakistani society who are speaking out in favor of Iran, noting that the rallies being held in Pakistan significantly boost their morale. Addressing a question regarding the duration of the conflict, he noted that while the timeline remains uncertain, Iran remains committed to giving a “befitting response” to any infringement on its territory.
