KARACHI: In a recent administrative reshuffle, the Sindh Government has reappointed Ahmed Yar (Pir) Muhammad Shah as the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Traffic Police, Karachi.
The notification for the appointment of Pir Muhammad Shah, a Grade-20 officer, has been formally issued. Following this appointment, the additional charge of DIG Traffic has been withdrawn from Mazhar Nawaz Sheikh.
Pir Muhammad Shah returns to the post just one month after being removed. Last month, he was replaced by Mazhar Nawaz Sheikh, who has now been relieved of this specific responsibility. The move marks the return of an experienced officer to manage the city’s complex traffic challenges.
