Thunderstorm, Dusty Winds Predicted for Karachi Tomorrow

KARACHI: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a weather alert for Karachi, predicting thunderstorms and rain under the influence of a new westerly wave currently affecting the western parts of the country. According to the PMD, the city is expected to experience thunderstorms on February 17. The weather system is likely to bring rainfall accompanied by gusty, dusty winds, while shallow fog tomorrow morning may also lead to reduced visibility.

Regional Outlook

The Met Office added that the weather system will not be limited to the provincial capital. Between the evening of February 16 and February 17, thunderstorms and rain are also expected in Dadu, Hyderabad, Thatta, Badin, Jamshoro, Larkana, Jacobabad, and Khairpur. While these areas prepare for rain, the rest of the province is expected to remain dry with cold nights.
