Manora Boat Tragedy: Another Fisherman’s Body Recovered, One Still Missing

KARACHI – The body of another fisherman, who went missing after a boat accident near Manora, was recovered from the sea near Ibrahim Hyderi on Friday. According to a spokesperson for the Edhi Foundation, the deceased has been identified as 35-year-old Alauddin, son of Mir Salamo.

Background of the Incident

The tragic accident occurred on January 23, when a fishing boat carrying four people capsized after colliding with a large ship in the open sea near Manora. Following the collision, all four fishermen on board were reported missing.

Rescue and Recovery Operations

Immediately after the incident, Edhi Foundation’s marine volunteers initiated a search and rescue operation. Earlier in the week, rescue teams recovered the bodies of two other fishermen, identified as Haroon and Muhammad Hussain.

With the recovery of Alauddin’s body today, the death toll has reached three. The Edhi marine team confirmed that the search operation is still underway to locate the fourth missing fisherman. Local authorities and rescue volunteers continue to monitor the coastal belt for any further developments.
