Hajj Training Begins in Karachi: 30,000 Pilgrims from Sindh to Benefit This Year

KARACHI – The first phase of Hajj training for intending pilgrims has officially commenced at the Hajj Directorate (Haji Camp, Sultanabad), marking the start of preparations for the upcoming spiritual journey. According to Director Hajj, Imtiaz Shah, approximately 30,000 pilgrims from across Sindh will be performing Hajj this year. This initial training phase focuses on educating pilgrims about the essential rituals and administrative procedures of Hajj, while the second phase of the program is scheduled to resume after Ramadan-ul-Mubarak.

Director Imtiaz Shah emphasized that following special directives from the Prime Minister and the Federal Minister for Religious Affairs, Hajj training has been declared mandatory to ensure a smooth and hassle-free experience for everyone. A major facility for Karachi-based pilgrims this year is the extension of the Road to Makkah Project, under which Saudi authorities will conduct one-time immigration at Karachi Airport, significantly reducing waiting times upon arrival in the Kingdom.

Furthermore, the Hajj Directorate has confirmed that all pilgrims will undergo a comprehensive vaccination process before their departure to comply with international health regulations. The federal government remains committed to providing maximum facilities and support to the pilgrims throughout their sacred journey.
