MUMBAI – Bollywood veteran Govinda has broken his silence regarding the long-standing tension within his family, making startling claims that his nephew, actor and comedian Krushna Abhishek, is being manipulated to publicly humiliate him.
The Conspiracy Allegations
In a recent interview with a local news agency, the “Hero No. 1” star alleged that a larger conspiracy is at play involving his inner circle. Govinda claimed that his wife, Sunita Ahuja, and other close relatives are being used against him.
Specifically addressing Krushna’s television appearances, Govinda stated:
“If you watch Krushna’s shows, you’ll notice the writers provide him with scripts designed to insult me. I have warned him that he is being used, but whenever I try to caution him, Sunita gets upset.”
Marital Strains and Rumors
The actor’s personal life has been under intense scrutiny lately. Reports of a potential divorce between Govinda and Sunita have circulated following Sunita’s past allegations regarding Govinda’s alleged involvement with another woman. Govinda, however, dismissed these narratives as part of a coordinated effort to tarnish his reputation.
A Plea for Privacy
Expressing his frustration over the public drama, Govinda requested his family members to stop making inflammatory statements in the media. “Do not create a suffocating environment for me,” he urged, emphasizing that family matters should remain private.
Krushna Abhishek Responds
When asked about his uncle’s remarks, Krushna Abhishek took a diplomatic stance, reaffirming his respect for the veteran actor. “I love and respect Govinda Mama. He is a legend with a ‘next-level’ perspective. What one person perceives as sarcasm, another might see as positive. I choose to take his words positively,” Krushna remarked.
Govinda and Sunita Ahuja married in 1987 and have two children, Tina and Yashvardhan. Despite the public back-and-forth, fans remain hopeful for a reconciliation within one of Bollywood’s most famous families.
