KARACHI: Pakistan has reached a significant milestone in defense self-reliance as the Pakistan Navy’s submarine, PNS Hangor, successfully completed its first-ever live weapon firing in the Northern Arabian Sea. During the exercise, PNS Hangor successfully launched a long-range anti-ship cruise missile that accurately struck its designated target with exceptional precision. According to the ISPR, this successful test validated the submarine’s advanced weapon systems and overall combat readiness, marking a monumental advancement in the country’s underwater warfare capabilities. The landmark event was witnessed by Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Naveed Ashraf, who commended the crew’s professional excellence. He emphasized that the continuous enhancement of underwater capabilities is vital for operational preparedness and a reliable defense, while reiterating the Pakistan Navy’s unwavering resolve to safeguard the nation’s maritime borders and maintain regional peace.
