KARACHI: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Anti-Human Trafficking Circle conducted a successful raid at the Saddar Passport Office in Karachi, resulting in the arrest of six individuals, including two internal staff members and four agents.
According to preliminary investigations, the suspects operated an illicit bribery ring, extorting 2,000 rupees per applicant to fast-track passport processing services. During the operation, FIA officials seized crucial evidence, including passport tokens, financial transaction records, bank challans, mobile phones, and digital copies of visas and National Identity Cards (NICs). A formal case has been registered against the accused, and further investigations are currently underway.
