Bollywood star Katrina Kaif’s mother, Suzanne Turquotte, has been living a modest life in a remote Indian village for years, dedicating her time to educating underprivileged children. Relocating from London to Tamil Nadu in 2008, Suzanne initially joined the charitable organization Relief Projects India to support marginalized communities. In 2015, she furthered her mission by establishing the Mountain View School, which started as a nursery for fewer than 30 children and has now grown to educate over 300 students across 25 villages. Katrina shared that her mother lives in an area frequently plagued by power outages and internet blackouts, sometimes making video calls impossible. However, this challenging lifestyle was chosen entirely by choice to serve others. Katrina actively supports her mother’s philanthropic endeavors financially, while the organization continues to expand its impactful work into education, women’s welfare, and healthcare.
