KARACHI: A fire broke out in the kitchen adjacent to the Mayor of Karachi’s office inside the KMC (Karachi Metropolitan Corporation) head office building on M.A. Jinnah Road, completely destroying the office. Three fire tenders successfully brought the blaze under control.
According to fire brigade officials, no casualties or injuries were reported during the incident, and the exact cause of the fire remains under investigation. This follows a major fire incident just a day prior at a textile factory in the Landhi Processing Zone, which reduced goods to ashes and left the structure severely compromised, according to rescue authorities.
