KARACHI: In a hands-on effort to oversee civic operations, Mayor Karachi Barrister Murtaza Wahab conducted an unannounced, late-night walking tour across several key districts of the city, including I.I. Chundrigar Road, Kharadar, Mithadar, and the Old City Area. Accompanied by officials from the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC), the Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation (KWSC), and relevant municipal bodies, the Mayor inspected ongoing beautification, infrastructure, and development projects.
During the visit, Mayor Wahab reviewed road conditions, received detailed briefings from officers on-site, and engaged directly with local residents to hear their concerns first-hand. Reaffirming his commitment to civic reform, the Mayor stated that addressing public issues remains his primary duty and vowed that the municipal leadership would not rest until key urban challenges are resolved. He issued immediate directives to officials to accelerate restoration work and ensure visible improvements across the city’s streets.
