KARACHI: A formal First Information Report (FIR) has been registered at the Samanabad Police Station following a major armed robbery at the Edhi Center in Sohrab Goth, Karachi, where perpetrators made off with PKR 6,549,597. The incident occurred on Friday afternoon at approximately 4:00 PM, when four suspects arrived on two motorcycles. While one suspect remained outside as a lookout, three entered the facility and executed the heist. The case was formally filed on the legal complaint of Edhi Center employee Mazhar Abbas. In response to the incident, the Sindh Chief Minister took immediate notice and demanded a comprehensive report from the Inspector General of Police (IGP). Emphasizing that the Edhi Foundation serves society’s most vulnerable, the Chief Minister declared that targeting such a humanitarian institution is entirely unacceptable and vowed to bring the culprits to justice. Law enforcement has since initiated a manhunt and launched a formal investigation to apprehend the suspects.
