KARACHI: A horrific incident in Karachi’s Lea Market area has sparked intense public outrage after a six-year-old boy, Wali Abid, was allegedly sexually assaulted and murdered by a neighbor. The suspect, identified as Hamza, reportedly threw the child’s body from a building inside a gunny bag.
Distraught and in tears, the victim’s sister, who noted Wali was the only brother to four sisters, demanded justice, stating she wanted to execute the killer herself. The victim’s father has demanded capital punishment for the perpetrator.
Following the incident, angry residents attempted to set the suspect’s house on fire, but police intervened. While initial reports suggested a personal grudge between the suspect and the victim’s father, police described the suspect as a “habitual offender.” Locals claimed the suspect, despite being a Hafiz-e-Quran, was allegedly involved in organ trafficking with two accomplices from Nazimabad. Police are investigating the case.
