KARACHI: In a shocking turn of events, the investigation into the murder of Dr. Sarang has revealed that his wife, Romina, was allegedly involved in the targeted killing. Law enforcement agencies have taken Romina and an accomplice into custody following a detailed forensic and technical investigation.
The Investigation
Dr. Sarang was gunned down on April 21. While the case initially appeared to be a random act of violence, investigators shifted their focus to the victim’s inner circle after discovering inconsistencies in statements. An armed assailant forced the doctor out of the vehicle and opened fire, hitting Dr. Sarang once in the chest and three times in the legs. Initially, Romina claimed she rushed her husband to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) in the same rickshaw, where he eventually succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
Current Status
The suspects are currently in police custody for further interrogation to determine the exact motive behind the murder. Further arrests or revelations are expected as the investigation broadens.
