KARACHI: A 14-year-old female student, who was critically injured after allegedly falling from the roof of a private school in Orangi Town, passed away today. The incident has sparked concerns regarding safety protocols within private educational institutions.
Details of the Incident The tragic incident occurred on April 21 at a private school located in Gabol Colony, Orangi Town. The victim, identified as Kinza Hussain, had been battling for her life in a hospital before succumbing to her injuries.
Conflicting Statements According to the school principal, the girl had accidentally fallen from the stairs. The administration maintained that they immediately shifted her to a hospital for medical assistance following the mishap. The Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) West provided further context on the legal proceedings, stating that the parents initially approached the police station but declined to pursue any legal action, mentioning at the time that the girl had fallen from the third floor. It was reported that a mutual settlement had previously been reached between the school management and the family, but following the girl’s demise, the parents have now formally requested to initiate legal proceedings against the school administration.
