KARACHI – A disturbing incident of reckless driving involving an influential minor surfaced in Karachi’s Defense Housing Authority (DHA) on Sunday, where a young boy was found driving in an inappropriate state.
The Incident
According to details, the incident occurred on Khayaban-e-Iqbal in DHA. Eyewitnesses reported that a young driver, allegedly under the influence, was speeding recklessly while being semi-naked (wearing only a towel around his waist). The vehicle eventually spiraled out of control and came to a halt in an empty plot by the roadside.
Escalation and Confrontation
DHA Vigilance teams arrived at the scene shortly after the crash. Witnesses claimed the minor behaved rudely and misbehaved with the security personnel. However, before the situation could be handed over to the authorities, an influential individual arrived at the spot with private security guards and forcibly took the boy away.
Police Response
The Karachi Police stated that the DHA Vigilance team did not hand over the suspect to them at the time of the incident. The event took place on Sunday, and police have now initiated an investigation after videos of the incident went viral on social media. Authorities are currently identifying the individuals involved to proceed with legal action.
