Pakistan Navy Successfully Tests Indigenous Anti-Ship Ballistic Missile in North Arabian Sea

KARACHI: In a significant boost to the country’s maritime defense, the Pakistan Navy successfully conducted a flight test of a locally developed Anti-Ship Ballistic Missile (ASBM) in the North Arabian Sea. The high-speed missile, launched from a Pakistan Navy ship, successfully engaged and neutralized its target at long range with pinpoint accuracy.

The weapon system is equipped with an advanced guidance system and specialized features designed to bypass enemy air defense systems, ensuring high survivability in contested environments. This successful test is a clear reflection of the Pakistan Navy’s technical superiority, operational readiness, and its commitment to maintaining peace and stability in the region through indigenous self-reliance.

The missile firing was witnessed by the Chief of the Naval Staff, Admiral Naveed Ashraf, along with senior military officers, scientists, and engineers involved in the project. Admiral Ashraf lauded the dedication of the technical teams for achieving this milestone in naval warfare capability, noting that the missile’s ability to hit targets with extreme precision is a game-changer for maritime security.

The President of Pakistan, the Prime Minister, the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), and other Services Chiefs have extended their heartfelt congratulations to the participating units and the scientific community. They termed the successful launch a proud moment for the nation’s defense and a testament to the country’s growing engineering prowess.
