KARACHI: The Sindh Rangers conducted an intelligence-based operation in the Gulshan-e-Ghazi area of Baldia Town, successfully dismantling a notorious criminal group involved in numerous robberies and street crimes.
The Arrests
Acting on precise information, Rangers personnel arrested the ringleader of the “Kumandan Gang” along with three of his key associates. The apprehended suspects have been identified as Saeed-ur-Rehman (alias Kumandan), Sabir (alias Sheena), Ikram (alias Akro), and Akash (alias Punjabi).
Modus Operandi
According to a Rangers spokesperson, Saeed-ur-Rehman not only led the group but also served as the primary supplier of weapons for their criminal activities. The gang operated under his direct supervision, targeting citizens in Baldia Town, Gulshan-e-Ghazi, and 24 Market. Investigation revealed that the members would hand over all looted cash and valuables to Saeed-ur-Rehman, who would then distribute the spoils among the gang. The suspects have been clearly identified in various CCTV footages recorded during their previous robberies.
Criminal Record and Legal Action
The arrested individuals are habitual offenders with prior criminal records and have served jail time in the past. The Sindh Rangers spokesperson stated that raids are currently being conducted to arrest the remaining members of the gang. The suspects have been handed over to the local police for further legal proceedings and formal charges.
